Joel McKellar Earns Living Future Accreditation

Joel McKellar has recently completed his Living Future Accreditation, a credentialing  process for professionals developed by the International Living Future Institute which oversees the Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification program.

Through a mixture of direct LBC project support, volunteerism, and educational programs Joel completed the 70 hours of training required to earn his accreditation.  Areas of emphasis in the training included material health and transparency research, net-positive energy and water design strategies, and social equity processes for design and construction.

This accreditation builds on previous professional certifications Joel has received including the LEED AP from the US Green Building Council and the Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) credential administered by the Association of Energy Engineers.
